The idyllic beauty of the castle and grounds continues onwards into the surrounding vineyards.

Over gentle, rolling hills sheltered by the mountain range to their back, the vineyards surrounding the estate are dotted with small woods, a brook, hedges, and the duck pond. Outstanding soil of volcanic porphyry mixed with moraine deposits and lime infuse the vineyards with all of the nutrients they need to thrive.

We are in the fortunate position of being the largest single vineyard in the superb Appiano mountain area, and it is here that we do everything in our power to get the very best out of nature. The cornerstones of our vineyard philosophy are the organic management of our vineyard, the preservation of the natural diversity of plants and animals, and watchful eye to the challenges of the future.

Azienda Agricola Rechsteiner

Veneto - Italy

Wines of noble tradition since 1881.

The 50 hectares of vineyards, divided between white and red, native and non-native varieties, are located between Piavon di Oderzo and San Nicolò di Ponte di Piave.

This area has a pedo-climatic reality that rewards the production of both full-bodied red wines and elegant, fruity white wines. The soils are predominantly clayey and enjoy the protection of the Pre-Alps and the breezes coming from the Adriatic coast.

The vineyards are looked after with the utmost attention and awareness that to obtain a quality product, the use of healthy and intact grapes is essential, suitable for the production of quality wines that do not require corrective interventions in the cellar. This allows us to offer the consumer a healthy product that amplifies the peculiarities of each individual vine in each harvest.

Sustainable agriculture is at the heart of our operation.

Weingut Trummer am Obegg

Südsteiermark - Austria

Wine is fine craft. And not fashion.

Welcome to the soil of mineral facts. The winery’s vines stand on a limestone reef of dead coral banks that is around 15 million years old , so the soil is the purest shell limestone, the like of which is rarely found in the world. And the climate can also be called unique, because here, and especially above the winery, the alpine marginal climate meets the heat of Pannonia. This doesn’t always make the work easy, but it rewards you with wines with strong character and great aging potential.

Wine Estate Leithakalk

Burgenland - Austria

Our wine cellar is in the heart of Großhöflein. The focus in the cellar is a careful, as natural as possible vinification of our wines,

in order to preserve the characteristics of the soils of the Leitha Mountains. Depending on the vintage and quality, their expansion and maturation are decided.

Especially with red wine, but also with the top white wines, we rely on a lot of time in the cellar and long storage on the fine lees,

to create wines that are as complex as possible.

Weingut PAX

Burgenland - Austria

The love and devotion for the vines was instilled in me. I’ve been out and about in the vineyards since I could walk. For me, there was never any other career than winemaking out of the question and so I completed the winemaking school in Klosterneuburg.

That’s where my fire was really ignited and my interest in wine grew ever greater.
Through my constant development and active exchange with many winemaker friends, I continually gain a new perspective on our wines.

This journey was shaped by many people and one in particular.
Behind a strong man there is an even stronger woman! This expression probably doesn’t fit better than it does for us.
The motivation to create special wines and the consequence of bottling them is pursued by my partner with the same passion that drives me. Your connection to nature is strengthened by your job as a landscape gardener.

Weingut Böhme & Töchter

Gleina - Germany

We are attached to our vineyards. That’s why we keep the soil healthy and alive, care for the vines (almost) like our own children and only harvest the grapes very carefully when they are fully ripe.
We value tradition. In addition to working with steel tanks, we rely more and more on long mash times, spontaneous fermentation, oak barrels in the cellar – and our gut feeling.
This is rewarded with wines that tell the story of the microclimate and the soils of our vineyards and that are a pleasure to refill. The best thing to do is to try it yourself.

We have very close relationship with our producers and hand select every single bottle.
